TORONTO'S MOST NOTORIOUS MURDERS

REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN! THE COURSE BEGINS MAY 7!

Toronto has a bloody past. It's filled with stories of chilling crimes stretching back to the days when the city was founded. And while these tales may send shivers up our spines, they also have a lot to teach us about the place we call home. In this online course, we'll explore the history of the city through the stories of its most infamous homicides. From gangsters and serial killers to housemaids and schoolchildren, we'll meet the murderers who've been terrorizing Toronto for more than 200 years.

Explore the history of the city with the author of The Toronto Book of the Dead and The Toronto Book of Love, host of the Canadiana documentary series, and recipient of the Governor General's History Award for Popular Media — the Pierre Berton Award.

FORMAT:

The course will include four weekly lectures on Zoom with a chance to interact and ask questions, as well as a short list of recommended readings.

DATES & TIMES:

May 7 to May 28.

8pm every Thursday night.

Each lecture will be about 1 to 1.5 hours.

RECORDINGS:

All the lectures will be available to stream online later in case you have to miss a class.

All the recordings will remain available for the foreseeable future.

COST:

Pay what you like!

REGISTRATION:

To register, simply fill out the form below and I'll follow up to arrange payment by e-transfer or cheque, whichever you prefer.

If more than one person in your household would like to take the course, feel free to sit in on the lectures together — you only need to pay one fee per screen.

If you have any other questions, email me at adam@torontodreamsproject.com and I'll be very happy to answer them.

(If you're filling the form out on mobile, you might want to turn your screen sideways — sorry, the font is as big as they'll let me make it!)
